THICK / thin teeth ‘mesh’ with your chains shape delivering much greater chain holding capability than a standard ring. For many riders the use of a chain-guide will not be needed when paired with a clutch type derailleur though this will depend on exact setup (correct chain tension, suspension travel etc) and type of riding (DH riding with long travel frames) – We reccomend those racing may wish to run an upper-only guide to retain 100% reliability.
